The Minnesota Twins (23-16) saw their three-game winning streak snapped with a loss in the last game of this series against the Toronto Blue Jays (18-21). Both games in this series have been close with Minnesota winning a low-scoring, grind of a game 3-2 in game one. That continued their winning streak to three games. In game two Toronto bounced back with a high-scoring 10-8 win with the bats waking up and the offense winning the day to even the series. Now the series comes down to a rubber match with either Minnesota or Toronto coming out with the win to close out the week.

On the mound today to close out this series for Minnesota is right-hander Bailey Ober (3-1, 4.42 ERA) in his eighth start of the season facing off with Toronto’s right-hander Alex Manoah who is in search of his first win of the season in just his second start of the year.
In game one of this series, Minnesta was able to grind out a win with a run in the first, fifth and the top of the ninth to earn the win. They went into the ninth inning up 2-1 before a pinch-hit single from Max Kepler gave Minnesota the deciding run before Toronto scored a run to put pressure on Minnesota late.
Then in the second game, Minnesota got the bats rolling, building an 8-3 lead through the first four innings. Toronto rallied back and put up eight runs between the fifth and seventh innings to storm back and take the series-tying win heading into today.
