The Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers open a single-ticket doubleheader on Saturday at Comerica Park after the Tigers won 1st game of the series on Friday
The Detroit Tigers (8-4) opened their rain-delayed series with the Minnesota Twins (4-7) with a win on Friday night. On Saturday, the teams play a doubleheader at Comerica Park, with the nightcap serving as the makeup of Thursday’s rainout. The banged-up Twins added to their injury woes on Friday night when shortstop Carlos Correa left the game in the third inning with an oblique strain. Correa, hitting .306/.432/.444, has been one of the offensive bright spots for a club hitting a league-worst .184. Minnesota lost third baseman Royce Lewis to a strained quad on opening day and right fielder Max Kepler landed on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with a bruised knee.
