UCLA and Stanford will meet Saturday night for game two of their Pac-12 series.
On Saturday night, Smith Family Stadium will play host to No. 11 UCLA and No. 5 Stanford as the teams play in the second game of their Pac-12 series. The Bruins come into Saturday night’s game with an overall record of 25-9 and a conference record of 10-3 for a spot in second place in the Pac-12 standings. The team has won three games in a row with the most recent being a narrow 1-0 victory over the Cardinal on Friday night in a thrilling nine-inning game. Taylor Stephens brought in the team’s only run with a single in the top of the ninth to secure the win while Taylor Tinsley took the win in the circle with a complete game in which she struck out 15 batters.

The Cardinal holds the top spot in the Pac-12 standings with an overall record of 36-8 and a conference record of 13-3. NiJaree Canady also pitched a complete game and was forced to take the loss in the circle after giving up the only earned run of the game, however, she had a strong performance with 12 strikeouts in the loss. Emily Jones led at the plate with two hits, but the Tinsely held the team to just five hits on the day.
