Keith Mitchell (-10) ended the third round of play on Saturday with a walk-off eagle to take the lead entering the final round of the Valspar Championship today. He enters the final round of the tournament with a two-stroke lead over the rest of the field. Mackenzie Hughes, Peter Malnati and Seamus Power are all tied at eight under par behind Mitchell for second place with three others tied at seven under par in fifth place. The final round of the Valspar Championship is set to be an exciting one with six golfers all within three strokes of the leader and Mitchell in a position to win his first tournament of the season.

For his career, Mitchell has one win since turning professional in 2014. He has started off the 2024 season with one of the best runs of his career with two top-10 finishes and now the opportunity to win his first tournament of the season.
Through three rounds Mitchell has 14 birdies, one eagle and six bogeys on his card. He has played steady and consistent this week, with great runs in the first and third rounds to help build this lead heading into the final round of the Valspar Championship.
Also in the mix at seven under par are Chandler Phillips, Cameron Young and Brendon Todd. All three of those golfers are just three strokes off the lead with the opportunity to make a leap up the leaderboard. Young has been the most consistent of the three with rounds of 69, 69 and 68 heading into the final round today.
