The Hawks have struggled a bit this season and come into Sunday’s game with a three game losing streak to bring their overall record to 4-5 and their conference record to 0-2. The team’s most recent game resulted in a 13-9 loss to Towson on Friday at home. Caroline Brennan and Mya Brock led the offensive efforts for Monmouth with hat tricks while Danielle McNeely added two goals in the loss. Katie Sullivan played between the pipes for the Hawks and made 15 saves, but came up short which moved the team into last place in the CAA standings.
When these two teams met last season in CAA play, Monmouth took the win in a 14-9 victory at home.
