Northwestern, the No. 23 ranked team in the nation, will join Indiana on the road in Iowa City, Iowa for Game 5 of the Big Ten Tournament in college softball. The Wildcats are 33-10 overall this season with a 20-3 record against conference teams in the Big Ten. They won two of three games against Indiana in the team’s last series last weekend. Before that, they won two of three games against Purdue and Ohio State while sweeping Michigan State, Michigan, Maryland, and Nebraska. Kansas Robinson and Emma Raye have been dominating inside the batters’ box this season. Robinson, the team’s second baseman, is batting .409 with a .515 on-base percentage. She has 11 home runs to lead the team with 34 RBIs and 35 runs on 54 hits in 132 at-bats. Raye, the catcher, is batting just .232 with a .356 on-base percentage. She has 10 home runs and 29 RBIs with 23 runs on 29 hits in 125 at-bats.

The Hoosiers are 38-17 overall this season with a record in the Big Ten Conference of just over .500 at 12-11. They took on Purdue in Game 1 of the Big Ten Tournament and won 6-3 to advance to this game. The comes after the team lost a three-game series to Northwestern and and Wisconsin in the six games previous.
Avery Parker and Taylor Minnick have been on fire for this team. Parker is batting .310 with a .398 on-base percentage. She has a team-high 13 home runs and 43 RBIs with 31 runs on 49 hits. Minnick is batting better at .368 with an on-base percentage at .477 with 10 home runs and team-high 51 RBIs.
