IMSA heads to Detroit this weekend for the Detroit Grand Prix, part of a busy weekend in the city as the IndyCar series is in action on Sunday for the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix. It should be an exciting weekend of racing on the streets of the city. Heading into this race, the Porsche drivers Dane Cameron and Felipe Nasr sit first in the overall standings for the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in the GTP classification. Ryan Dalziel, Dwight Merriman and Connor Zilisch lead in LMP2. Seb Priaulx and Laurin Heinrich are the GTDP leaders, while Russell Ward and Philip Ellis head the GTD standings.

Nick Tandy’s Penske Porsche won the pole for this race, with teammate Dan Cameron set to start beside him on the front row. It continues a run of good luck for Penske, as Tandy and Mathieu Jaminet won at Laguna Seca, plus Penske is coming off an Indianapolis 500 victory last weekend.
