The greatest day in motorsports continues on Sunday afternoon with the 108th Indianapolis 500. Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin is on the pole for this one, with his teammates Will Power and Josef Newgarden joining him on the front row. The big story, though, is NASCAR Cup Series points leader Kyle Larson, who is attempting to race both the 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 later in the day. Larson is set to start fifth at Indianapolis, though potential rain could shift his plans around.

Last year, Newgarden won this race, with Marcus Ericsson, Santino Ferrucci, Alex Palou and Alexander Rossi rounding out the top five.
Known as one of the crown jewels of motorsports, this race attracts significant attention each year, taking over the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for most of the month of May.
Larson is the first driver to attempt the Indy-Charlotte double since Kurt Busch in 2014. Busch finished sixth in the 500 but suffered an engine failure in the NASCAR portion of the day. The best combined result in this attempt was in 2001, when Tony Stewart was sixth at Indianapolis and third in the Coca-Cola 600.
