IndyCar heads to Road America for the XPEL Grand Prix.
The NTT IndyCar Series is at Road America this weekend for the XPEL Grand Prix. Rain on Saturday during qualifying has led to an interesting starting grid this weekend with Linus Lundqvist on the pole for the first time in his IndyCar career. He’s joined on the front row by Colton Herta. Marcus Armstrong and Kyle Kirkwood start in Row 2. The final two drivers to make the Fast 6 were Will Power and Josef Newgarden, but neither recorded a time. Power spun in the second round of qualifying while Newgarden hit the wall hard, causing a red flag.

Last weekend, Scott Dixon won a caution-filled Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix, leading 35 laps. Marcus Ericsson was second, followed by Marcus Armstrong. Kyle Kirkwood led 24 laps and finished fourth. Despite all the cautions, only Christian Rasmussen failed to finish the race, though Newgarden finished six laps down in 26th place.
Scott Dixon currently leads the IndyCar standings with Alex Palou in second. Will Power, Pato O’Ward and Alexander Rossi round out the top five in points through the first six races of the 2024 NTT IndyCar season.
