The Delhi Capitals (5-2-0, 10 points) have dropped two of their last three 2025 Indian Premier League matches as they visit BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, India, to take on the Lucknow Super Giants (5-3-0, 10 points). The Super Giants have won four of their last five to climb into a group contending for the top of the IPL table while Delhi looks to complete a season sweep with a win on Tuesday. The Capitals scored a one-wicket victory, 211/9-209/8, over Lucknow in the opening match for both squads back on March 24.

The Super Giants defended successfully in their two-run win over the host Rajasthan Royals on Saturday, claiming the 180/5-178/5 victory after batting first. Avesh Khan bowled 3-37 to earn player of the match honors while Aiden Markram powered the attack with 66 runs on 45 balls and Ayush Badoni hit a half-century with 50 on 34.
Delhi couldn’t hold off the host Gujarat Titans after setting a powerful opening salvo while batting first, dropping a seven-wicket decision by a count of 204/3-203/8. The balanced attack featured 39 on 32 from captain Axal Patel as well as 37 on 19 from Ashutosh Sharma while Karun Nair and Tristan Stubbs each scored 31. But the bowlers claimed just three wickets and failed to fend off the chase.
Nicholas Pooran of Lucknow is second in the IPL with 368 runs, Mitchell Marsh is seventh at 299 and Markram is eighth with a 274 total. Shadul Thakur leads the bowlers with 12 wickets and Digvesh Singh’s 7.43 economt rate tops the squad. KL Rahul leads the Capitals with 266 runs, ninth in the league, and Stubbs has 183. Kuldeep Yadav is tied for second in the IPL with 12 wickets taken and Mitchell Starc has claimed 10, with Yadav bowling to a 6.25 economy rate.
