Either the Lucknow Super Giants or Kolkata Knight Riders will get consecutive wins for the 1st time this IPL season

Through their first four matches of the 2025 Indian Premier League tournament, the Lucknow Super Giants (2-2-0, 4 points) and defending champion Kolkata Knight Riders (2-2-0, 4 points) have followed the same pattern. That pattern so far, a loss, followed by a win, then a loss, followed by a win. When the two teams meet on Tuesday at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, India, one of them will break out of that with their first consecutive victories of the season. Lucknow picked up a pair of fines from Friday’s match against the Mumbai Indians. Captain Rishabh Pant was fined roughly $14,000 for the Super Giants maintaining a slow over-rate while bowler Digvesh Singh was fined half his match salary for a second violation of the Code of Conduct after pantomiming writing in a notebook after taking the wicket of Naman Dhir.
