Royal Challengers Bengaluru (2-1-0, 4 points) come off their first loss of the 2025 Indian Premier League tournament and hit the road on Monday to visit the Mumbai Indians (1-3-0, 2 points), who also lost their last time out. Monday’s match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai is the third road contest of the season for the Royal Challengers while Mumbai is at home for the second time in the campaign. The Indians are tied with the Chennai Super Kings for the most championships since the IPL launched in 2008 with five, most recently in 2010, while Bengaluru has finished runner-up three times but have yet to taste a title.

Mumbai comes off a 12-run loss at the Lucknow Super Giants on Friday, 203/8-191/5, as the Super Giants were able to fend off the Indians’ chase. The Royal Challengers were chased down by the visiting Gujarat Titans on Wednesday, falling 170/2-169/8 as the Titans completed the challenge in 17.5 overs. Liam Livingstone posted a half-century with 54 runs on 40 balls, with five 6s, while Jitesh Sharma logged 44 on 21.

Yadav is fourth in the league with 171 runs for Mumbai, with N. Tilak Varma at 95. Pandya shares fourth place in the IPL with eight wickets taken and leads the club with a 7.50 economy rate in 10 overs. Phil Salt paces the Bengaluru attack with 102 runs and Rajat Patidar has 97. Josh Hazlewood leads the Royal Challenger bowlers with six wickets and Bhuvneshwar Kumar has bowled to a 6.14 economy rate in his seven overs.
