The two clubs at the bottom of the IPL table look for momentum as Sunrisers Hyderabad visit the Chennai Super Kings on Friday.

The Chennai Super Kings (2-6-0, 4 points) are in unfamiliar territory, sitting at the bottom of the 2025 Indian Premier League table. On Friday, the Super Kings welcome Sunrisers Hyderabad (2-6-0, 4 points) to M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, India, as both teams try to find some momentum for the second half of the league stage. Chennai has reached the playoffs in 12 of their 15 IPL seasons and with five championships and five runner-up finishes is the gold standard for the league. But all three of their playoff misses have come since 2020, including last season, while the Sunrisers lost in the final in 2024.
