Texas A&M and Alabama will wrap up their SEC series with the finale on Monday.
The final game between No. 13 Alabama and No. 12 Texas A&M will take place on Monday evening at Rhoads Stadium in Tuscaloosa. The first game of the series went in the Crimson Tide’s favor with a 2-0 victory, but the Aggies bounced back to take the second game in a big 17-6 win. The Crimson Tide is now 30-9 overall and 7-7 in conference play. Bailey Dowling started the scoring for Alabama with a home run in the second, but the team already trailed 6-0 at that point. Jenna Johnson singled in the fourth to bring home Kinley Pate and Kendal Clark followed with a three-run homer in the fifth to make it a 7-5 game. The final Alabama run came from a Kenleigh Cahalan single in the sixth, but the team ultimately came up short. Jocelyn Briski took the loss in the circle with two innings of work in which she gave up five earned runs and struck out two batters.

After losing the first game of the series, the Aggies bounced back and won handily with strong hitting and strong pitching. Shaylee Ackerman improved to 7-1 in the circle after pitching 3.1 innings and striking out two batters. She only gave up three hits in the win while Emily Leavitt and Emiley Kennedy combined to give up an additional four. Offensively, Trinity Cannon went 3-for-3 with four RBI after hitting two singles and a double. Allie Enright and Kennedy Powell each hit home runs to combine for four RBI. The team finished the game with 13 hits for 15 earned runs.
Texas A&M will take on North Texas on Wednesday while Alabama travels to take on Arkansas for a three-game series.
