Inter Milan can temporarily move six points clear at the top of the Serie A table on Sunday when it plays host to Udinese, an opponent it has already managed to beat twice this season. The Nerazzurri triumphed 3-2 in Udine back in September before also knocking Le Zebrette out of the Coppa Italia’s round of 16 in December, hoping to complete their hat-trick at the San Siro. Simone Inzaghi’s men have won their last five encounters with Udinese, who hasn’t managed to beat Inter in Milan in almost eight years, with few signs that streak will reach its end come Sunday.

Kosta Runjaic has enjoyed a solid first season at the Udinese helm and is currently on course for a top-half finish after a recent spurt in wins since the start of February.

Udinese has won four of its last seven games and lost just one of those, having fallen at home to Hellas Verona in surprise circumstances just before the recent international break.

The Little Zebras clinched away wins at Napoli and Lazio prior to that, but it will take another step up in gear to repeat the feat against a Nerazzurri side that’s sailing towards another Scudetto.

Meanwhile, the likes of Federico Dimarco, Matteo Darmian, Piotr Zielinski and Nicola Zalewski each missed that win due to injury and may not return in time for Sunday.

Ivory Coast winger Hassane Kamara missed out on Udinese’s last outing due to suspension but will be available in Milan, while captain Florian Thauvin is hoping he’ll be fit following injury.
