Udinese will look to claim another significant scalp at home to Juventus on Saturday as both teams return to Serie A action on the back of some disappointing midweek results. The Little Zebras are flying high at seventh in the standings but missed their chance to jump as high as second after losing at Venezia on Wednesday despite building a two-goal lead. The other Bianconeri are hoping to end a run of three games without a win, meanwhile, and were forced to twice come from behind just to draw 2-2 at home to Parma last time out to remain third in the Serie A table.

Thiago Motta’s debut campaign at the Juve helm hasn’t been a walk in the park thus far, though his team remain the only outfit in Serie A still yet to taste their first defeat of the season.

Only Bologna (six) have accumulated more draws than Juventus (five) until now, with Motta’s men having seen out a thrilling 4-4 result against Inter Milan just prior to drawing against Parma:

And it just so happens Udinese won its last encounter with its black-and-white counterparts in February when Lautaro Giannetti came up with the only goal of the game.

Almost four years had passed since Udinese’s previous win in this fixture, but manager Kosta Runjaić will be aiming to ensure the wait between wins isn’t nearly as long this time around.

Isaak Toure was shown a straight red during the defeat to Venezia and won’t be available for the visiting team, while Juventus are hoping to have Douglas Luiz and Nicolas Gonzalez back fit in midfield.
