One of the hottest teams in Major League Baseball, the Baltimore Orioles (14-7) return to action on Monday night on the West Coast when they visit the Los Angeles Angels (9-13) at Angel Stadium. Coming into this game, the Orioles have won two games in a row, six of their last seven, and nine of their last 12. They spent the weekend in Kansas City, where they took two of three games against the Royals. That series was capped by a 5-0 shutout win on Sunday, with home runs from left fielder Colton Cowser and third baseman Jordan Westburg.

As the Orioles try to continue their winning ways, they’ll send Albert Suárez to the mound for his first start of 2024. Suárez made his first start of the season last week, and threw 5.2 scoreless innings while allowing three hits with four strikeouts against the Minnesota Twins.
The Angels will start lefty Reid Detmers in this game. Detmers has been excellent through his first three starts, going 3-0 with a 1.19 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with 30 strikeouts in 22.2 innings. He allowed one run in 5.1 innings against the Tampa Bay Rays in his most recent start.
