The Little League World Series continues on Thursday with four games from Williamsport.
It’s time to see the best youth baseball players from around the world when 20 teams descend upon Williamsport with the hopes of winning the Little League World Series. The championship game will take place on Aug. 25, but before that pool play continues on in the United States and International brackets on Thursday with four games scheduled. Thursday’s slate of games will see two International bracket games and two American bracket games. In game one, which begins at 1:00 p.m. ET, Japan vs. Puerto Rico takes place. Japan is represented by Johoku Little League (Tokyo, Japan) and Puerto Rico is represented by Radames Lopez Little League (Guayama, Puerto Rico). The other international game is between Cuba and Europe-Africa at 5:00 p.m. ET. The Cuba region is represented by Santa Clara Little League (Villa Clara, Cuba), while Europe-Africa’s team is South Czech Republic Little League (Brno, Czech Republic).
The first American game is Metro vs. Mountain at 3:00 p.m. ET. Metro is represented by South Shore Little League (Staten Island, New York), while Mountain is represented by Paseo Verde Little League (Henderson, Nevada). The final game of the day at 7:00 p.m. ET is between the Southwest and Mid-Atlantic regions. The Southwest region is represented by Boerne Little League (Boerne, Texas), while the Mid-Atlantic is represented by Council Rock Newtown Little League (Newtown, Pennsylvania). Newtown is located three hours from Williamsport and is likely to have a huge contingent of fans.
