The Midwest Regional is down to two teams in the winner’s bracket as Fargo, North Dakota and Sioux Falls, South Dakota play for a spot in the regional final on Wednesday morning. South Dakota comes into the game looking to extend its shutout streak. It beat Iowa 7-0 in its first game on Friday and then shutout Missouri 2-0 in the winner’s bracket semifinals on Saturday. The pitching has been great for South Dakota and it will look to continue that run against its rivals to the north. In the first game Maxen Snoozy picked up the win, as he went five shutout innings. In the second game, Murphy Seefeldt pitched a complete game shutout to earn the win. He gave up just two hits and struck out 10 in the victory.

North Dakota got its bats going in the first game of the tournament, as it beat Minnesota 10-4 on Friday to move on.

James Shih led the way with three hits and two RBIs in the win. He and Rylan Erickson both scored two runs to help lead North Dakota to the victory.

North Dakota had a much tougher game in the semifinals, as it beat Wisconsin 3-2 to advance to the winner’s bracket final.

Ben Kalbrener, Hayden Holman and Reid Wallgren all had an RBI in the win. Tanner Holman pitched 4.1 innings to earn the win. He gave up two runs and struck out seven.
