The inaugural Collegiate Rugby Shield takes place Saturday night live from Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah.
Major League Rugby is looking for its new wave of players and Saturday, the scouts will get a chance to see some of the best in the country at the Collegiate Rugby Shield.

According to collegiaterugbyshield.com, “the Collegiate Rugby Shield is a post-season College Rugby All-Star competition held annually at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah. The Collegiate Rugby Shield provides collegiate players an opportunity to showcase their skills in front of MLR coaches and scouts in preparation for the Draft.”
The game is made up of two teams of 25 players from colleges around the country and they will play in the All-Star game on Saturday night as they look to show off their skill in hopes of getting drafted to a Major League Rugby team.
Tui Osbourne will be the head coach for Team Canyons. Osbourne currently works for St. Bonaventure but is a two-time national champion at Life University.
Ray Barkwill will be the head coach for Team Peaks. Barkwill won an MLR Championship with the Seattle Seawolves and made 56 appearances for Rugby Canada.
This is a great event for college players and is a much-watch if you love rugby.
