The second Conference Final in the Major League Rugby playoffs features the Utah Warriors and the Houston SaberCats.
So far in the Major League Rugby playoffs all of the top teams have advanced into the Confernece Finals. In the Western Conference Final the top-seed Utah Warriors take on the two-seed Houston SaberCats. Both teams survived tough challenges in the Conference Semi-Finals to advance. Utah defeated the Seattle Seawolves 23-21 avoiding an upset to the four-seed. For Houston, it came out on top against three-seed RFC Los Angeles 27-21 to setup the Conference Finals. This is the fourth match of the season between the teams with Houston sweeping the season-series against the top-seed in the conference.

The first match between the teams came in the season-opener where Houston ran away with the 37-17 win on the road. The second match was the most competitive going to overtime before Houston came away with the 29-24 win in one of the most exciting matchups of the entire Major League Rugby season.
Houston closed out the sweep of the regular season with Utah at home. In the penultimate match of the regular season Houston scrapped its way to a 22-15 win. Outside of its losses to Houston this season Utah has gone 17-8 overall between the regular season and playoffs.
The winner of the Western Conference Final will face-off with the winner of the New England Free Jacks and the Chicago Hounds in the Major League Rugby Championship. Chicago, Houston and Utah are all seeking a first championship while New England is the back-to-back defending champions.
