The Worcester Red Sox walked off the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders on Thursday, can clinch a series draw at Polar Park on Friday night

The Worcester Red Sox (20-22) picked up their second victory in three games against the visiting Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (28-13) on Thursday night. On Friday night at Polar Park, Worcester looks to secure no worse than a tie in the six-game series with International League-leading Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. The RailRiders’ lead in the first half standings shrunk to just a single game over the Omaha Storm Chasers with the loss. The Red Sox stand in a three-way tie for 11th place, eight-and-a-half games behind S/W-B, the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees. Neither roster features a player currently ranked among the top 100 prospects in baseball, per MLB Pipeline.
