In yesterday’s game, the Red Sox struck first in the bottom of the second inning with a solo home run from Bobby Dalbec, but that’s where the scoring ended for Boston.
The Blue Jays answered quickly with an RBI single from Santiago Espinal in the top of the third to tie things up at one run a piece. George Springer followed with an RBI single of his own to make it a 2-1 game and a sac fly from Alejandro Kirk put the Blue Jays up 3-1.
The Red Sox didn’t score again until the top of the ninth when Teoscar Hernández hit an RBI double to extend the lead to three runs and secure the win.
Today, the Blue Jays will be looking to complete the sweep before hosting the Cardinals for a three-game series.Â
