After a close game in the series opener, the Milwaukee Brewers won convincingly in game two to take the series. Now they will look for the sweep as they’ve had a great start after the All-Star break. The Brewers hold their 1.5-game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals as they beat Cincinnati on Saturday. The Rockies will look to end a three-game losing streak in the series finale.

Colorado got off to a good start scoring the first run of the game in the first but it was Milwaukee the rest of the way. The Brewers scored nine unanswered runs and by the time the Rockies woke up and scored three in the ninth, it was much too late. Brandon Woodruff pitched very well for the Brew Crew going six strong while only giving up one run and striking out eight.
The Rockies will try to salvage a game on the road by starting one of their best in Chad Kuhl. He is 6-5 with a 4.11 ERA. The Brewers will counter with Eric Lauer who is 6-3 with a 3.64 ERA.
