The Chicago Cubs go for their sixth straight win on Saturday afternoon when they host the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Chicago Cubs battle the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday afternoon as they look to extend their five-game winning streak. The Cubs came into the series after sweeping the Colorado Rockies in three games and they stayed hot when they took down the Dodgers 9-7 in the first game of the series on Friday afternoon. The Cubs got three RBI from Seiya Suzuki and home runs from Dansby Swanson and Michael Busch to take down the NL-West leading Dodgers. The Cubs will now go for a series win on Saturday when they send Jordan Wicks to the mound. Wicks went four innings in his first start, giving up just two runs to the Texas Rangers.

The Dodgers had won four in a row coming into Friday and looked like they would get another win as they scored two runs in the top of the first. They couldn’t slow down the Cubs offense, though, and took the loss.
The Dodgers now sit at 7-3 on the season and have scored a least five runs in every game, but Friday it just wasn’t enough.
Saturday they will send Yoshinobu Yamamoto to the mound as they try and even the series with the Cubs. Yamamoto struggled in his first start of the season giving up five runs in just a single inning, but he pitched much better last Saturday as he didn’t give up a run in five innings against the St. Louis Cardinals.
