The Los Angeles Dodgers go for the sweep in the series finale against the San Francisco Giants in this huge MLB showdown.
Just about everything is going right for the Dodgers right now. They hold a 10-and-one-half game lead in the NL West and they’ve won seven games in a row, the last three of which have come against their biggest rival, the Giants. They’ll go for the four-game series sweep today to continue their roll after the All-Star break.

The Dodgers won game three 4-2 after a strong start from Julio Urias. He went six innings without giving up a run. The Dodgers gave him all the run support he needed via the home run. Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts and Trea Turner all homered in the game the Dodgers led the whole way. The Giants started a rally in the ninth and scored two but it wasn’t enough in the end.
Los Angeles will start its future Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw in this finale. He is having another vintage season with a 7-2 record and a 2.13 ERA. The Giants will look to avoid the sweep by starting Alex Cobb. He is 3-4 with a 4.09 ERA. There is good news for San Francisco as they are only two games out of a wild-card spot.
