Seth Lugo came up huge for the Royals in the 2-0 victory nearly going all the way turning in an eight-inning performance where he only gave up three hits and struck out eight. The Astros would go quietly in the ninth not earning another hit. Astros starter Hayden Wesneski didn’t pitch bad at all going five innings while only giving up two runs on eight hits. Kansas City didn’t need much offense at all to keep its winning streak rolling. The Royals scored their first run in the fifth off a sac fly from Kyle Isbel. KC got some more insurance in the sixth with another sac fly RBI from Hunter Renfroe. Don’t expect these Houston bats to stay quiet for long.

The Astros will try to bounce back tonight by starting Framber Valdez who is 1-2 with a 4.50 ERA. The lefty didn’t get the win in his last start against the San Diego Padres despite only giving up two runs in six innings. The Royals will go for the series win tonight by starting Michael Wacha. The veteran righty is still looking for his first win of the season with a 0-3 record and a 4.15 ERA.
