How to Watch Angels at Marlins: Stream MLB Live, TV Channel

The Miami Marlins, off to the worst start in franchise history, are still looking for their first win as they host the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday night.

The Miami Marlins (0-5) set a franchise record on Monday with their fifth consecutive loss to open the season. The Marlins play the second game of a three-game set with the Los Angeles Angels (2-2) at loanDepot park in Miami on Tuesday night. It’s the third straight season the Marlins have lost at least five straight at home. Monday’s loss topped a pair of 0-4 starts for the franchise, originally set in 1995 and matched in 2001. Angels catcher Logan O’Hoppe is off to a 4-for-9 start and Mike Trout homered three times in the first four games. The Marlins brought up left-hander Kent Emanuel to the bullpen on Monday.

Trout smashed a pair of solo homers on Monday night, including a 473-foot blast to center field in the sixth as Los Angeles erased an early 4-0 deficit to claim a 7-4 victory. Taylor Ward’s groundout in the eighth inning broke a 4-4 tie and Carlos Estévez picked up his second save in as many days.

Nick Gordon doubled home two runs to cap a four-run first inning for Miami and starter Max Meyer left with a 4-2 lead after five effective innings. But the bullpen issued four walks, allowed five hits and surrendered five runs over the final four frames.

Left-hander Jesús Luzardo is set to make his second start for the Marlins. He allowed two runs on two hits while fanning eight in five innings against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday, taking a no-decision. Left-hander Tyler Anderson gets the ball for the Angels. In 27 appearances and 25 starts in 2023, he had a 5.43 ERA and 1.489 WHIP in 141 innings.
