The story of Game 2 was that Tampa Bay got off to a fast start thanks to Jose Caballero. The Rays infielder hit his first-career grand slam in the first inning. The Angels scored all of their runs off solo shots. Angels second baseman Kyren Paris hit two homers and one in the eighth to get LA within one run. Taylor Ward and Jorge Soler joined Paris but it just wasn’t enough. Yusei Kikuchi was tabbed with the loss but he pitched well after the grand slam going six innings. Ryan Pepiot got the win going five innings, giving up six hits and three runs. Yandy Diaz hit a homer in the seventh that proved to be the winning run. All runs scored in the game were off homers.

The home team will go for the series win by starting Zack Littell. The righty has lost his first two games and his last start was the toughest giving up five runs in seven innings against the Texas Rangers. The Angels will counter with Jose Soriano. The righty is coming off a loss to Cleveland after winning his season opener against the Chicago White Sox. In the game against the Guardians, Soriano went 5.1 innings while giving up five runs and two homers.
