Jarren Duran scored two runs for the Red Sox in Game 1, to go along with single runs from Rafael Devers, Rob Refsnyder, Carlos Narváez and Ceddanne Rafaela.

Richard Fitts got the start on the mound to kick off the series for Boston, but lasted just one inning where he gave up five runs on four hits.

Hunter Dobbins relieved Fitts and gave up the Red Sox’s sixth run before going another four innings and notching four strikeouts along the way.
