The Angels won the opener 7-6 largely off the momentum of hitting three home runs in the first inning. It was the first time in the history of Fenway Park that an opposing team accomplished that feat. The Red Sox have been playing at Fenway for 113 years. Los Angeles followed that up by earning the 4-3 win in 10 innings on Tuesday. The Angels scored all of their runs in the third inning. They didn’t score again until the 10th when automatic runner Zach Neto scored when Taylor Ward hit into a double play. The Red Sox had three errors that did them no favors and former Boston closer Kenley Jansen got the win.

The Red Sox will try to save a win in this series by starting Lucas Giolito for the finale this afternoon. The righty is 1-1 with a 4.78 ERA. The Angels will go for the sweep when they start Jose Soriano, who is 4-5 with a 3.41 ERA.
