Shohei Ohtani pitched on Saturday but it was only for two innings, on a night which happened to be his 31st birthday. Ohtani pitched great in those two innings, only giving up one hit and striking out three. But the Astros kicked it into a higher gear once Ohtani was pulled scoring five runs across the third and fourth innings. Yanier Diaz hit a homer, and Josh Hader earned the last four outs of the game to earn his 25th save which leads the majors. Miguel Rojas had three RBIs including a two-run homer in the fourth, but the Dodgers couldn’t score another run.

Houston will try to keep its foot on the gas by starting Colton Gordon who is 3-1 with a 4.37 ERA. Emmett Sheehan will go for the Dodgers. The righty is sporting a 2.25 ERA in one start against the San Diego Padres in a no-decision on June 18.
