Ronel Blanco takes the mound for the Houston Astros against Dane Dunning and the Texas Rangers on Sunday night.
The Houston Astros will head on the road for the third game of a four-game series against the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field on Sunday. The Rangers lead the current series 2-0 after a 10-2 win in the first game and a 7-2 yesterday. Cody Bradford picked up his second win of the season in the first game, going 7.2 innings with four strikeouts and one earned run. Marcus Semien proved to be the big jolt of offense by blasting a 395-foot three-run shot into the upper deck. Adolis Garcia also had a home run with four RBIs. Last night, Kirby Yates, the ex-Atlanta Braves relief pitcher, stumbled upon a win, going one inning with two strikeouts. There were no home runs for Texas in that win, but six players out of nine in the lineup had one RBI. Even Evan Carter, who went 3-for-5 on the night, with a run didn’t have one. The Astros will look to bounce back tonight.
