The Minnesota Twins kick off their home-opener when they host the Houston Astros on Thursday. Watch for free on Fubo.

The Houston Astros travel to Minnesota to take on the Twins to start their first series of the season. These two will play one more time in June in Houston this season. The start of the season is not what either of these teams were hoping for with both holding a 2-4 record. Houston is trying to end a three-game losing streak tonight as it has lost four of its last five games. After losing its first four games of the season, Minnesota is looking for its third win in a row. The oddsmakers are slightly favoring the Twins at home in the opener with a -125 line. Let’s see how fresh they are flying back home after a 3.5-hour rain delay on Wednesday.

The Twins are turning it around but it helps when you are facing off against the Chicago White Sox. Minnesota won the rubber match on Wednesday beating the White Sox 6-1. Pablo Lopez pitched a great game going seven innings while only giving up one run on four hits and that score came in the seventh inning. Byron Buxton had a big day offensively scoring the first run of the game in the first with a homer and an RBI double in the sixth. Harrison Bader also had a three-run homer in the fourth that effectively put the game away. Joe Ryan will make the start for the Twins who went five innings in his first start of the season only giving up five hits and one run but the team ultimately lost to the St. Louis Cardinals last Saturday 5-1.

Houston is coming off a 6-3 loss to the San Francisco Giants to fall on the wrong side of the sweep. Wilmer Flores hit his fourth homer of the season already for the Giants who hit that many in 71 games last year. It was one of three homers for the Giants. The Astros had the bases loaded in the fifth but could only score two runs and weren’t able to get any closer than 5-3. Hunter Brown will get the start for Houston in this opener. The righty went six innings in his first start of the season against the New York Mets giving up two runs. he was saddled with the loss though despite striking out seven.
