He threw 6.0 innings, allowing three earned runs with nine strikeouts. Jake Meyers domianted the game with two home runs and seven RBIs on a 2-for-2 night to single-handedly win the game.

Lance McCullers Jr will take the mound for Houston in the final game of the series. The right-hander has yet to make an appearance for Houston this season. He hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2022. In that season, he went 4-2 in eight starts with a 2.27 ERA and 50 strikeouts in 47.2 total innings pitched.

Chicago will start the game with a reliever in Bryse Wilson, on the mound in the first inning. The right-hander is 0-1 this season with a 5.00 ERA and 11 strikeouts over 18.0 innings. Wilson threw 3.1 innings in his last appearance against the Milwaukee Brewers, allowing three earned runs on two hits with just one strikeout.
