Ernie Clement and Addison Barger were the ones fueling the Toronto offense on Friday both hitting homers. The Blue Jays moved above .500 for the first time since April 21 with the win. The A’s got within one in the fifth but the Blue Jays scored five more runs across the fifth and sixth innings to blow open the game. Chris Bassitt got the win for Toronto despite giving up five runs in five innings.

The Blue Jays will go for the series win by starting Braydon Fisher who is making his first start of the season today. The righty has appeared in seven games with a 1-0 record without giving up a run in 8.1 innings pitched. The A’s will try to get their first win of this series by starting Gunnar Hoglund, who is 1-2 with a 5.13 ERA.
