The Blue Jays ended a four-game losing streak on Thursday winning the series finale against the Los Angeles Angels. Seattle will be the -145 favorite to win this opener tonight.

Seattle won its rubber match against the Athletics on Wednesday 6-5 in the finale. It was an incredibly unlikely win for the Mariners as they were down five runs after the fourth inning. The Mariners pitching staff tightened up and didn’t allow another run the rest of the game. Leody Taveras hit a game-tying single with two outs in the eighth inning. Then he would go on to score the go-ahead run with Dylan Moore knocking out a base hit. This was Taveras’ debut with Seattle to boot. The win gave Seattle its ninth series win in a row. The Mariners will follow that up but starting Luis Castillo who is 3-2 with a 3.29 ERA.

Toronto pulled off a huge comeback in its last game to avoid being swept at the hands of the Angels on Thursday. The Blue Jays won 8-5 after being down four after just two innings. But LA couldn’t score again until the seventh on a sac fly and by then it was too late. Anthony Santander hit a go-ahead two-run single that broke open the game giving the Blue Jays a four-run sixth inning. Toronto will go for back-to-back wins tonight by starting Kevin Gausman who is 2-3 with a 3.83 ERA.
