The Interleague series between the Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies wrap up on Wednesday afternoon.

It’s a getaway day game at Citizens Bank Park on Wednesday afternoon, as the Philadelphia Phillies (26-11) wrap up a two-game interleague series against the Toronto Blue Jays (16-20). Toronto came to town on Tuesday for the first game of this matchup between the American League East and National League East, but it was the home team that came out on top. Philadelphia won Tuesday’s game 10-1 – a win that extended the Phillies’ winning streak to seven games and was their 11th win in their last 12 games total.

In that game on Tuesday, six of the Phillies’ 11 hits went for extra bases. That included a grand slam from first baseman Bryce Harper and a home run and triple from third baseman Kody Clemens – the son of legendary MLB pitcher and multi-time Cy Young winner Roger Clemens.

As the Phillies try and continue their winning streak, they’ll send righty Aaron Nola to the mound on Wednesday. Nola is 4-1 in seven starts this year with a 3.32 ERA.

On the other side, righty Chris Bassitt will start for Toronto. Last time out against the Kansas City Royals, Bassitt allowed three runs on four hits in six innings of work.
