The Boston Red Sox try to bounce back and even this series against the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday night.

The Toronto Blue Jays go for the series win against their AL East rival when they take on the Boston Red Sox in Game 2 on Tuesday. Toronto was able to cool off the red hot Red Sox bats in the opener winning 6-2. The loss ended a five-game winning streak for Boston. The Red Sox were dominant on offense coming into this series after sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals where they scored 13 in the opener and 18 in the finale on Sunday Night Baseball. The win was a nice bounce back for Toronto who was coming off a sweep at the hands of the New York Mets over the weekend. Both of these teams are now 6-5 and the Red Sox will be the -185 favorites to tie up this series tonight at home.

The Red Sox were largely held in check by Blue Jays starter Jose Berrios. The righty got his first win of the season in his third start by going seven innings while only giving up four hits and one run which was on a sac fly. Boston finished the night with only five hits total after scoring 18 the night before. George Springer gave Berrios all the run support he would need by driving in three runs on three singles. Richard Fitts dropped to 0-2 on the season for the Red Sox giving up three runs in six innings. The weather was cold and misty in the opener and much of the same can be expected tonight.

Garrett Crochet will try to get the Red Sox even with Boston winning both of his previous two starts. The lefty got his first win of the season in his dominant start against the Baltimore Orioles where he went a career-high eight innings while only giving up four hits and no runs in a 3-0 shutout. The Blue Jays have a strong counter though with a lefty of their own in Easton Lucas. He was great his season debut getting the win against the Washington Nationals where he went five scoreless innings only giving up one hit.
