The tough thing for Atlanta right now is that it has lost its last five games by one run. The finale against the San Francisco Giants was no different, as the Braves lost 4-3 to complete the sweep. Mike Yastrzemski was Atlanta’s kryptonite, as he drove in three runs on Sunday to push the Giants winning streak to five games. Matt Olson also drove in three runs for the Braves, but they didn’t score after the third inning. The Giants won despite collecting just three hits. The Braves have just the starter tonight to get out of this slump in veteran Chris Sale. The lefty is 3-4 but has a 2.93 ERA.

The Brewers are coming off a 1-0 loss in the rubber match against the Padres on Sunday to drop the series. Manny Machado was the only player to drive in a run off a homer in the seventh inning. San Diego won despite only getting three hits, while Milwaukee had just four. Freddy Peralta pitched phenomenally too for the Brewers, going six innings, while only giving up one hit. Aaron Civale will try to channel some of that energy in the start tonight for Milwaukee. The righty is 1-1 with a 5.19 ERA.
