The Chicago Cubs look to win a fourth straight game when they host the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday afternoon.
The Chicago Cubs take on the division rival Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday afternoon in the final game of their series. The Cubs took the opener 5-3 on Tuesday and then had their game on Wednesday postponed due to rain. The two teams will make up that game on Aug. 18. The win on Tuesday was the third in a row for the Cubs and has them a season-high 17 games over .500. They currently sit at 45-28 and are in first place in the National League Central by 6.5 games over the Brewers and Cincinnati Reds. The Cubs will send Jameson Taillon to the mound. Taillon is 7-3 with a 3.48 ERA on the season. He has been pitching well over the last month and the Cubs have won his last five starts. He has given up two or fewer runs in each of those five starts.

The Brewers will counter with star rookie Jacob Misiorowski on the mound. He will be making just his second career start.
In his first start, Misiorowski didn’t give up a hit or a run in five innings against the St. Louis Cardinals. He struck out five and walked four to earn his first MLB win.
The Brewers have lost three of four games to the first place Cubs this season and are needing to get a win on Wednesday afternoon before they leave town.
They will head up to Minnesota to take on the Twins on Friday in the first game of a three-game series. They will then return to Milwaukee for a six-game homestand against the Pittsburgh Pirates and Colorado Rockies.
