Cleveland Guardians can lock up an interleague series win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night

The Cleveland Guardians (24-17) stopped a two-game slide with a series-opening win over the Milwaukee Brewers (20-22) on Monday and can lock up a win in the interleague matchup when the teams square off again on Tuesday night at Progressive Field in Cleveland. However, both teams got bad injury news on Monday. Cleveland right-hander Ben Lively exited the game before the start of the fourth inning with inflammation in his right forearm. Meanwhile, Brewers right-hander Brandon Woodruff’s return to the majors has been delayed by tendinitis in his right ankle that flared up Sunday during a rehab start with Triple-A Nashville. He last pitched in the bigs in September 2023.
