Joey Bart hit the only home run of the night for Pittsburgh with two RBIs. Andrew McCutchen and Isiah Kiner-Falefa also had two RBIs each.

The Cardinals bounced back yesterday with a 5-3 win in the second game. Paul Skenes allowed five runs in his career-worst start for Pittsburgh as Sonny Gray went 5.0 innings with four strikeouts and one earned run. Victor Scott II has two RBIs in the win with no player on the team hitting a homer. Three other players, including Pedro Pages, had one RBI each.

Erick Fedde will get the start for St. Louis on the mound in this series finalé. The right-hander is 1-1 this season with a 7.00 ERA and a 1.22 WHIP. His last start was the one that ended in the loss, 13-9 on the road at the Boston Red Sox. He threw just three innings, allowing a massive six earned runs on five hits with just one strikeout.

Pittsburgh will start Max Keller on the mound in the final game of this six-game home stand before heading on the road this weekend. The right-hander is 1-1 also this season with a similar 7.45 ERA. His last start also ended in a loss to the New York Yankees 9-4. He threw just 3.2 innings, allowing seven earned runs on eight hits with four strikeouts. Both pitchers will look to improve heading into this start.
