The Cardinals then fell in another narrow one-run finish, this time losing 2-1 against Philadelphia in Game 2 at Citizens Bank Park. Herrera scored the team’s lone run in the loss, while Erick Fedde went for nearly six innings on the mound for the Cardinals.

The pitcher didn’t give up any runs and struck out three Phillies in the game.

Finally, St. Louis bounced back to take Game 3 in Philly with a thrilling 14-7 finish. Kyle Schwarber, J.T. Realmuto and Alec Bohm all hit home runs to help secure the series finale win away from home for the Cardinals.
