Things get underway Monday night, with the first of three games at Dodger Stadium. The Dodgers have won the season series against their National League West foe in each of the last seven seasons. Last year the Dodgers won 10 of 13 games, including a 4-2 record at home. The Dodgers also went 10-3 against the Rockies in 2023, including a perfect 6-0 home record.

The Dodgers come into this game trying to stabilize where they’re at after an up-and-down week last week. Los Angeles started the season 8-0, but has since lost two of three games in each of its last three series. Those series were against the Philadelphia Phillies, Washington Nationals – both on the road – and then against the Chicago Cubs at home over the weekend.

Wins or losses early on, the Dodgers have hit with a ton of power to start the season. Their 29 home runs are the second-most in baseball entering play on Monday. Second baseman Tommy Edman leads the team with six home runs in 17 games. That’s tied for the league lead.

For the Rockies, this series is the second half of a six-game road trip. Colorado has just a short trip in Southern California after playing the San Diego Padres over the weekend. The Rockies were swept in that series.
