Meanwhile, Pete Crow-Armstrong scored both of Chicago’s runs in the team’s series-opening loss away from home. Crow-Armstrong’s runs were brought in by Carson Kelly and Justin Turner in the top of the fifth and seventh innings.

Ben Brown started on the mound for the Cubs on Monday, where the pitcher stayed in the game for five innings. Brown gave up a whopping eight runs and nine hits in that span, to go along with his three strikeouts.
