Carson Kelly stayed hot with his seventh home run. Seiya Suzuki matched him with his seventh home run and Pete Crow-Armstrong hit his sixth. Dansby Swanson connected for his fifth and the Cubs pounded out 13 hits in the win. Wednesday they will send Matthew Boyd to the mound. Boyd has pitched well and comes into the game 2-2 with a 2.54 ERA. He earned a win in his last start, as the Cubs beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-6. Boyd gave up a season-high six runs, but got just enough support to get the win.
