After getting swept during Rivalry Weekend, the Los Angeles Dodgers will be trying to get back in the win column on Monday night when they host the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Over the weekend the defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers (29-18) were swept for the first time this season, as they dropped three games to their crosstown foe, the Los Angeles Angeles. They’ll try to get back on track on Monday in a divisional matchup, as they begin a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Dodger Stadium.

As for the Diamondbacks, they took two of three games in their Rivalry Weekend series against the Colorado Rockies. Both of their wins were in shutouts, with an 8-0 victory on Friday and then a 1-0 win on Sunday.
This will be the second series of the year between the Dodgers and Diamondbacks. The first one was last weekend – a four-game set in Phoenix. The teams split that set with two wins each. The Dodgers won the season series 7-6 last year.
The Diamondbacks starter for this one – righty Brandon Pfaadt – pitched in that last series. It was one of his best starts of the year. He threw 6.1 shutout innings, with just four hits and six strikeouts in the winning effort.
Dodgers righty Landon Knack did not pitch in that series. He’ll be making his sixth appearance and fifth start of the season in this one.
