The D’Backs are coming off a 6-2 win on Wednesday night to win this road series. Arizona is 11-7 but still in fourth place in the loaded NL West. The Diamondbacks rode the home run, four to be exact, to win this series. The game was close until the later innings with Lourdes Gurriel Jr. breaking open the game with a two-run bomb in the eighth. Brandon Pfaadt got the win going 5.2 innings while striking out six and only giving up one run. Max Meyer pitched well for the Marlins but was saddled with the loss going six innings and striking out eight but giving up three runs.

Eduardo Rodriguez will be tasked to help earn the sweep today. The veteran lefty is still looking for his first win of the season with a 0-2 record and a 4.86 ERA. He only gave up two runs in his last start against the Brewers but unfortunately for him the Diamondbacks were shutout. Edward Cabrera will go for the Marlins. The righty made his first start of the season last week getting a no decision after going 5.2 innings only giving up two runs and four hits against the Nationals.
