The trip began against the Toronto Blue Jays early last week. Arizona salvaged a win in the final game of that series after dropping the first two. They then flipped the script in a National League West series against the Colorado Rockies over the weekend, winning the first two games before coming up short of the sweep with a loss on Sunday.

Still, the Diamondbacks are having a strong month of June so far. To this point, they have a 12-7 record this month, putting them back over .500 after they were four games under at the end of May.

The White Sox played in Toronto after the Diamondbacks, visiting the Blue Jays over the weekend. They won the opener of that series before losing on Saturday, then came back and won the rubber match 4-2 on Sunday. That game came down to the wire, with first baseman Miguel Vargas delivering a two-run double in the eighth inning that ended up being the deciding play.
